Sarantos Delivers Danceable Social Commentary On "EyeBANGing"

With a clever blend of metaphor and irony, EyeBANGing is an articulate social commentary on the theme
of leering individuals and the reactions they illicit in return. Presented in a flippant manner the narrative
follows the friction ogling causes, even when meant in a harmless manner. Accompanied with an eyecatching performance video, Sarantos utilizes imagery to depict the many facets of this theme. This way
of presenting the theme of the EyeBANGing is quite effective as the viewer is captivated by the target
subject while being gas-lighted into feeling powerless to feel anything but. The dynamic groove
throughout EyeBANGing brilliantly simulates an excited heartbeat, as the rhythm never resolves as the
tension builds. Coupled the syncopated grooves with Sarantos signing in a higher register allows the sound
space to be completely filled with each instrument complementing each other.

As a COVID-19 survivor, Sarantos looks to find beauty in everything. As he reflects, “Beauty is often in the
eye of the beholder but when beauty takes your breath away, we might not notice our mouths gaping
open and our eyes bulging. The message is to be respectful, courteous, and tactful. This song pushes the
envelope both lyrically and harmonically.” EyeBANGing is a testament to the survivor nature, and the
empowerment artists feel when overcoming such dramatic obstacles. The message is prevalent
throughout this piece, however, do not miss the irony and humor presented. EyeBANGing is meant as
satire, and although lessons are to be learned this track primarily entertains. A worthy addition to any
club playlist as the deep bass grooves and dynamic synths illicit a dance response from the listener and
the repeatability of this track will ensure you can dance to it every night.
