Single Review: Randy Seedorff "Never Alone"

I have been following the success of Randy Seedorff’s release Begin Again now for some time. Since its release in early 2021, Randy has had significant success with his followers in a physical sales approach. While streaming and YouTube view numbers have not reflected the growing popularity of this album, we are starting to see a momentum shift as the latest single, "Never Alone" has been tracking for a week as the featured single. With over 1k views in its first week, this has captured the attention of like-minded artists and followers in the market. Pastor of worship and discipleship in Liberty, MO, Randy Seedorff continues to use his music to reach his congregation and peers surrounding it. While commercial breakout may not explode immediately, it is fair to say this album carries some weight behind it.

"Never Alone" is a faith-inspired track reminding the listener just that, they are Never Alone. Of course, taking the obvious religious messages out of this track, is there still a message others can take, or is this a conversion song aimed at inspiring others to his faith? I don’t believe so, as a country single, Never Alone features strong feel-good messages to reach out to friends, family, your community, and yes, even your church for the connection we all desire, crave and need. Randy Seedorff uses his wisdom, faith, and understanding of the power of music to deliver strong, positive messages to his followers. Mainstream numbers are sure to follow this strategy. But, how is "Never Alone" as a Country track? With quick-fingered country strumming and dynamic vocal harmonies, "Never Alone" is a track worthy of any country music fan's collection. As a centerpiece to the Begin Again album theme, Never Alone showcases Randy Seedorff’s deep country baritone, and popinspired higher registers as he resolves key phrases and cadences. The strong, tight groove from the backing band keeps the rhythm close into the pocket and allows Randy to go outside of the tempo to deliver accentuating points and soothing resolutions. "Never Alone" is a key to Randy’s sound as the contrasting call and response style is bound to have listeners on their feet and dancing to the country jam.
