This Acoustic Pop Rock Song is Bound to be a Hit
Minneapolis, Minnesota based singer-songwriter Zack King has released a brand new single “Hit and Run.”
"Hit and Run" is a light and uplifting track, despite the name. It features breezy guitar, Zack’s recognizable rock pop vocals and upbeat percussion. It is a song about what it feels like to be literally stuck. Stuck in a past life, and then being able to turn your whole life around. “Looking back on your life, it can be difficult accepting who you used to be. If you try to hold on to your past life and old habits, it can be damaging to you and those around you. It’s scary accepting a new version of yourself, especially when you don’t recognize the person in the mirror,” Zack shares.
Accepting a new version, and not repeating old patterns, is scary because many times we
want to run back to what is known. “Feel like I’m sinking and I can’t swim. Gasping for air but in the end I’ll drown again.” Being stuck in the old pattern feels like drowning or suffocating.
Zack King has been working with producer Matt Grosso at Cloverleaf Audio-Visual. His first album “Mess” is an honest and heartfelt set of songs about past relationships, personal development and all of the things life throws at us.
King has been playing music since childhood, but it wasn’t until he graduated from college that he started to pursue his musical interests more seriously. Feeling lost after graduation, he says “I found peace and happiness through creating music.” He takes his main musical inspirations from from lyricists like Foo Fighters, Matchbox Twenty, and Maggie Rogers.

positive way!
